Silicon Republic report on the results of the recent SFI equipment call, which was announced at the SFI board meeting Monday of this week. SFI have made grants totalling in excess of €31m for the purchase of scientific equipment to support R&D efforts.

Following last year’s successful Strategic Research Clusters, SFI has just launched a second call of the SRC programme.
The time-line for the programme this year is pretty tight, with the first deadline for Expressions of Interest on February 29th, and the Pre-proposal submission following shortly on March 10th.

Last week, January 24 to be exact, techludd 2.0 held its first event in the Odessa Club in Dublin. Despite some early bad-mouthing, since retracted, it looks like the event was a huge success.
