James McInerney has a nice post on his blog about applying for an RFP grant.
James’s comment is that
It is a reasonably good system, not perfect, but I am not sure that any system is perfect.
Probably a fair comment. A lot of the reasoning behind how programmes such as RFP are organised is based on the number of proposals we receive, and the timeframe we have to turn the results around. Each year, RFP is by far our biggest individual programme, usually with in excess of 700 pre-proposals.
In any event, good luck to James with his proposal.
