Closing date for Stokes

Just a quick reminder, for those few of you who might have forgotton, that tomorrow is the closing date for the SFI Stokes Professorship and Lectureship programme.

New Director General

I can’t believe that I haven’t blogged about this already – must have slipped my mind.
As most interested parties will already know, SFI has a new Director General – Dr. Frank Gannon. Frank is the former head of EMBL
Here’s the official SFI press release.
Frank is due to take up his post in early July.

Positive experience at the passport office

London 2012? WTF?!

I’ll have to add my voice to what appears to be everybody else on the web in pointing out how ridiculous the London 2012 logo is.
One other blog I read pointed out that this jumble of nonsense is supposed to spell 2012. I had to do a double-take to recognise it.
